CT on the Frills Facebook

A couple hours or so ago sophisteacated  made a CT on the Frills Facebook group. So, if you're a CT Lolita, or even an adjacent state Lolita, go on and join it!

We were also talking about ways we can make this community a little more active, since it's been 8 months since our last big state-wide meetup! I understand that everyone's been busy, and we're all spread out quite a bit, but it would still be nice if our online community was a little bit more active. So does anyone have any ideas about what they would like to see going on? Discussions? Contests? Games? Monthly themes? A card/craft swap? More actual meetups?

If anyone has some ideas feel free to share them. It would be good to hear them and try to revive our near-dead community a bit XD

I too would like to help make this community more active!
As you suggested, a card swap sounds good and monthly themes do seem to encourage people.
Here is an idea I had. What if there was this one loli item, say an accessory, and it was mailed to each Connecticut lolita in turn. They would have to take a photo of themselves wearing it in an interesting outfit (and possibly an interesting place), and post the picture for everyone to see.
In regards to meetups, I would definitely like to see more of them. The holidays could present some opportunities. If we were really organized we all could even take the train up to New York for a day.

The idea of the loli-item-swap would be really cute! I'm not sure how practical it is, though. It'd have to be something that was easy to wash/machine-safe, because otherwise that could get narsty >.<; I'd definitely be interested if we could figure out a way to do it! Maybe jewelry instead of an actual clothing item?
(say... something handmade? *plugplugplug* :3)

A swap sounds like a super cute idea! Maybe we can do a cute mascot that we just take pictures of or even something like a community made charm bracelet. Everyone makes or buys a charm for it and then we continue to add to it whenever we swap it *ideeasss*

I never use LJ anymore, lol, so for me personally the existence of the FB has already made me more active! I would be all for moving to facebook entirely, tbh, but that's just because I'm lazy and selfish and don't want to have to check LJ anymore... like ever again XD; Besides that, though, maybe we could link them up, and any games or meet-ups could be posted to both?

Linking them is what I'd like to do, I don't quite know if there's a plugin or whatever it's called to do that, but I plan on just posting links to the FB group when there's a new post here.

Want to be an admin :D me and the 2 other girls who are admins (aka, just the first 3 people who were in the chat XD) have no idea how to work FB! So if you know how, you will be a life saver XD

Even though I'm kind of clueless about FB, I do like the idea of the comm moving over to FB because it's much more personal and face-to-face, and everyone uses it now.

Yeah, I'm sure there's some way you can set it up. A lot of people link blogs and websites to their facebook accounts, so I'm sure LJ could have something like that.

Sure!~ :DD I'm on Facebook almost all the time anyway, lol (or I will be once my laptop is fixed DD: )... I'm not great with techie stuff, but I'll give it a go!
